In depth

Verdict

Only one of this bumper line-up have run in public before and after BLACKNEY'S PET improved from his first run to second he could make experience count and get the better of Alan Kings newcomer The Laodicean and Acquisitive could go well for a yard in-form. As always in these races it pays to give the market a cursory check but the pick¿s experience should hold him in good stead here as he knows his job after improving to only find just the one too good on his second start in similar conditions. The Laodicean is related to a number of point winners and his dam had shown some ability in bumpers so he can go well on debut. Acquisitive could capitalise on his yard's decent run and has a reasonably decent flat pedigree, which often helps in these contests. Rumpy Corleone also has enough in his bloodline to suggest a decent first run but as plenty of these runners could be anything we'll side with experience and Blackney's Pet.
