In depth
Verdict
ULIS DE VASSY has now won two of his last three outings and looks the one to beat. Laura Morgan’s charge won a tougher contest than this at Southwell last time and can defy a further 5lb rise in today’s modest company. Peppay Le Pugh finished runner-up yet again when favourite at Southwell three weeks ago and will likely be in the mix. He makes more appeal than both Jackthejourneyman and Shininstar, who drop further down the weights in the hope of a return to form.
