In depth

Verdict

Schiaparannie won at Wetherby in November and ran well under a penalty back at the same track on Boxing Day. She has a handicap rating of 118 and OKSANA was beaten a couple of lengths by a horse with the same rating at Market Rasen last month. Further progress looks likely from Ben Case’s mare and she gets the nod. Ebonys Encore was placed on her earlier debut over hurdles but disappointed at Exeter last time while Folly Bergere showed promise on her hurdling bow but that was back in 2016. Presenting Pearl and Storm Patrol have a shout on their form in bumpers while Gortnagirl and Agent Mephis have shown ability in point-to-points.
