Verdict
With Barabbas looking likely to go to Wincanton the way looks left open for Spike And Divel to provide Jonjo O'Neill with a quick bumper double. The five-year-old, runner-up in a Listowel bumper having attracted plenty of support, will undoubtedly be all the wiser here and with his stable having such a fine record in these events, looks the one to be with. Having won his bumper at Towcester, First Floor was then found out, but not disgraced under his penalty at Warwick, but he will surely find some of these too sharp for him around this track, with it's emphasis on speed. A winner between the flags in Ireland Ah Yeah is one of the more likely candidates here, along with Stage Friendly, but Spike And Divel probably sets a fair standard and will be difficult to beat.
