A mainly uncompetitive event should be within the compass of Fiery Peace who has most to fear from Jack Fuller, with Just A Touch the only other to make any sort of appeal. Fiery Peace beat Runner Bean over two miles at Ludlow in December, jumping really well to get the better of a real battle with the eventual runner-up in the straight. He has been ultra-consistent and the only slight negative is that he does like faster ground according to his trainer. Even so, he has the form in the book and it is hard to see any of these troubling him too much. Jack Fuller finally managed to score at Taunton just over three weeks ago so has a bit of a fitness edge over the selection who has been off since his Ludlow victory, but that is all he has in hand. Just A Touch is always likely to put the odd short one in and so cannot be backed with any confidence, and Bill's Echo cost his supporters dearly at Sedgefield so is not one to put any faith in on this his chase debut. All in all, despite a slight doubt about the ground, and the fact that he has been off for three months, Fiery Peace still has the form to defy topweight.
