        Verdict

        Ballyvaddy runs well fresh and can account for Captains Table and Tribal Dancer. A useful sort for Toby Balding in his prime, he is now in the care of new licence holder Jonathan Geake and with the majority of opposition defecting at the overnight stage, he should be up to this task given that the handicapper has dropped him a couple of pounds since chasing home Colonel Frank in better company last time out. Captain's Table should front-run again despite being upped in trip. He has few miles on the clock for a twelve year old but stayed two miles five effectively last season. Tribal Dancer has few concerns about the trip. His stable are running relatively well although the horse himself has had a poor season thus far. First time headgear and a positive ride were responsible in part for Lodestar's victory at Kempton. Today is a tougher task off a revised handicap mark. Ennel Boy is watched in the market while the likeable Skycab is starting to be offered leniency by the handicapper now that he is very much at the age where retirement is a possibility. Ballyvaddy gets the vote on this occasion.
