Verdict
We will suggest Strong Resolve here ahead of Wildfield Rufo and Clear Dawn. The selection is a course and distance winner, although he now races from a 10lb higher mark. Much as his rider offsets five of that, he will need a career-best effort to score but, that said, this is not the strongest of races and he holds claims. Wildfield Rufo should prove popular based on his recent Wetherby win, but he might not be at his best if the going is on the quick side. Clear Dawn is only one pound above his Musselburgh winning mark of last December so comes into things on that basis while, despite his advancing years, Weaver George comes here in good heart and is a course and distance winner. Primitive Way and Time To Reflect have been beaten off revised marks since last winning but their chances are not forlorn ones. However, for the winner, once again we return to Strong Resolve.
