Elf De Re edges this at the weights though his recent form offers little encouragement and MAHLERVOUS is preferred. The latter was beaten only a neck in a handicap at Sandown last time and a bold bid is expected if the ground gets no softer. Mighty Thunder arrives on the back of a double at Hexham but carries a 10lb penalty as a consequence while Minella Encore will appreciate the return to this longer trip after finishing fourth at Market Rasen on his chasing bow.
