In depth
Verdict
Calculaite was capable over hurdles and showed some promise on his chasing debut at Carlisle last month but he may need another run to put him spot on and preference is for Glingerbank, with Lord Collingwood rated the pick of the remainder. The selection is less exposed than his rivals, should come on a bundle for his reappearance at Perth in September and the Nicky Richards-trained gelding is taken to open his account over the larger obstacles. Keith Reveley's The Ring was well held on his return here last month and is probably best watched now, while Raining Horse gave little sign for encouragement on his chasing debut at Hexham last month. A market move for Micky Hammond's reappearing Lord Collingwood would be of interest as he has some respectable form over hurdles but Glingerbank looks to be going the right way and he gets the vote.
