      Verdict

A fair stayer on the Flat, JABBAAR was on his best behaviour to quicken off a strong pace and make a winning start over hurdles at Sedgefield. He probably lacks the scope of easy Bangor winner Cheddleton but may come out on top on this occasion if he’s in the mood. Slainte Mhor was beaten when falling at the last at Perth in September but should be capable of better and makes more appeal than the closely-matched Mamdood and Overcourt.
