      Verdict

STARPLEX has had to work quite hard to record back-to-back victories at Newcastle but Brian Hughes seems to have found the key to Keith Dalgleish’s novice, who can defy a further 9lb rise to complete the hat-trick. The maiden Calliope will struggle to reverse recent running but Wild Sam’s defeat of Skyhill here in October has worked out well and Let's Sway placed in a higher grade at Wetherby. Gallahers Cross is possibly better than form figures would suggest while there should be more to come from Bullion Boss.
