Verdict

Water Taxi loves it here and complete his third c&d success, with Tom's Toybox his chief rival. The Ferdy Murphy-trained selection is best at around the minimum trip, generally jumps well, and remains on a competitive mark. Although both his wins have come on good to soft he has run well in defeat on fast ground, so he should have no problem on that score and he can go in again. Despite a liking for a sound surface, Yankee Holiday looks to be a bit to high in the weights at present, and the main danger looks likely to be Tom's Toybox. He was runner up on fast ground at Perth last time and has a Newcastle novices' chase win to his name. Clearly on good terms with himself, he can go close. Rossin Gold definitely needs softer ground to be seen to best effect, and Seeyaaj has never won on ground faster than good, but does have a bit of ability and could still scrap out a place in the frame, but preference is for Water Taxi.
