In depth

Verdict

A Grade 1 juvenile hurdle winner at Chepstow, Bristol De Mai failed to get the better of his elders when favourite for a Listed race at Sandown and will be looking to make amends. Fellow four-year-old Intense Tango beat older horses to win a Grade 2 contest at Doncaster but is up against higher-rated opposition in this including GLINGERBURN. The latter continued his good progress with a defeat of Hawk High over track and trip last time and there looks plenty more to come from Nicky Richards' charge. Chieftain's Choice fell early on at Newbury last time but has stronger form than the previous course winners Shades Of Midnight and Medicine Hat while Exclusive Waters has plenty to find with the selection on earlier running and Nashville looks to be out of his depth.
