In depth

Verdict

A 6lb penalty might not be enough to stop Dancing Dik in this company and he gets the nod over South Wales, Tripod Molly and Brave Quest. The last named improved for the step up in trip last time out and, as he is on a winning mark, he should be monitored closely in the betting. Tripod Molly won a weak contest at Lingfield four days ago and faces a stiffer test under 6lb extra. However, that was an authoritative performance and she should not be underestimated now that she has proved her stamina. South Wales is at the right end of the weights and is open to improvement. Stepping up in distance has opened new doors for him and Stuart Williams¿ charge should not be underestimated. However, the vote goes to Dancing Dik, who looked on an upwards curve when destroying his field at Windsor nine days ago and he is fancied to follow up today.
