        Verdict

        A wideopen contest rounds off the card and many would have chances on their best form but the principals look to be Mamonta, Galantos and Treetops Hotel and the narrow vote is given to Mamonta. The selection was a fair fifth behind Ifatfirst last time out doing all his best work at the finish. The step up in trip looks sure to suit and off a a fair mark he looks the one to be on. Galantos rates the main danger as he beat Asleep At The Back with a little in hand last time out. However this looks tougher and he looks vulnerable under his penalty. Treetops Hotel is another that could go well on his best form but he looks in the handicapers grip at present. Synonymy has yet to prove he stays this far while Critical Stage may just need the run and with this in mind for the winner we return to Mamonta.
