Verdict

Penguin Island returns to novice company having finished runner-up in all three starts in handicaps. But the less-exposed DELLA also found only one too good in a first-time hood at Southwell and Andrew Balding’s filly gets the vote to open her account. Holy Fire placed over 7f at Chelmsford on last year’s debut while Kanohi Breeze finished runner-up at Goodwood last summer but debuts on the all-weather along with Many Rivers. Elusive Angel is related to seven winners and is a newcomer to note.
