Verdict

Plenty with claims including DENMEAD, who won last year’s renewal and went close to winning a tougher contest at York last time off a similar mark. Chivers bids for a hat-trick raised 5lb having landed a double over 1m6f on Turf while The Way You Dance carries 6lb extra for scoring over today’s trip at Lingfield. Volturnus has been winning over shorter distances but is a course and distance winner in the past and Unblinking was runner-up over 2m last time in a lower grade at Chepstow. Quothquan is not out of this either after going close at Windsor last time.
