Verdict

A rightly competitive final for this series. KASBAAN won a decent qualifier a matter of days ago on a first start for the yard when showing real tenacity to outpoint Al Jellaby and could well repeat the dose if those exertions have not taken their toll. Something was clearly amiss with Motawaj when completely tailed off at Newmarket last month and a line must be drawn through the run. Previous efforts, including a course and distance win, put him in leading contention despite topweight. Kuwait Currency returned to form here last time and could well have been laid out for this and is shortlisted along with Freerolling who is preferred of the Fellowes pair.
