In depth

Verdict

Balladeer, What Doin' and Magic of Sidney are the three to look at here and What Doin' is taken to make up for a fall at Carlisle on his seasonal debut. Magic of Sydney ran well towards the end of last season, winning at Folkestone, before finishing placed in decent contests thereafter. He may just need this run after a lay off though and is taken on. Balladeer won well at Fontwell two outings ago but was beaten into third in a four runner affair last time. He will handle the ground but may find one or two too quick. What Do'in has two wins to his credit and shaped well on his fencing debut until coming to grief at the eighth fence at Carlisle when in touch. That was also his first outing of the season and in the belief he will have done plenty of schooling since, and hailing from a yard in form, What Do'in is the selection.
