Verdict

SUPER FRANK is the tentative suggestion to get the better of Guildenstern and Balata whilst Last Sovereign is also worth a place on the short-list. The last named is well drawn and has the services of Richard Hughes but he lacks the cheekpieces that he wore when showing improved form on his last two starts so may be best watched on his return from a break. Lend A Grand broke a blood vessel last time which has to be a worry but did go close and is undoubtedly well handicapped. Guildenstern is poorly drawn but in great form with the runner-up from his latest victory scoring earlier in the week. Miss Mujana is worth keeping an eye on whilst the consistent Balata has to rate highly despite appearing to be in the grip of the handicapper. Super Frank's last success came over course and distance just under a year ago from an 8lb higher mark. He's been struggling for form but didn't fare too badly at Lingfield given that he was forced to race out wide for most of the race. He's well drawn here so should enjoy the run of this race and it's thus worth taking the chance that Super Frank can bounce back.
