In depth

Verdict

LEO THE LION can come out on top with the main dangers probably being Forty Thirty and Solo Choice. Mark Johnston has a one in four strike rate over the past fortnight and Leo The Lion showed enough on debut to think that he should be winning sooner rather than later. He made his debut over course and distance and ran on well to finish within two lengths of the winner despite running green; he should improve considerably for that initial experience. Dubai Storming proved his debut running all wrong at Lingfield and should improve again but is badly drawn whilst Forty Thirty has had a few chances but is up in trip and returning from a break. Solo Choice has made the frame on three of his four starts but is far from certain to appreciate this longer trip and has his limitations and the remainder don't set the pulse racing. He could be better drawn but Leo The Lion will be hard to beat.
