        Verdict

        The veteran Understory has been thereabouts of late but hasn’t won since 2013. Awesome Rock failed to win last year but posted a better effort when second over 1m4f here while the less-exposed Sir Jamie steps up in trip after a placed effort at Wolverhampton. SMILEY BAGEL is another lightly-raced sort and he gets a speculative vote given he should be sharper for a recent comeback run and was placed off similar marks on more than one occasion last year.
