In depth

Verdict

Le Chiffre can gain another course-and-distance success at the expense of Golden Spectrum and Forced Upon Us, with High Class Problem and Winds of Kildare likely to go well without being good enough. Le Chiffre lines up in good form, having won two of his last three outings, including an apprentice affair here seven-days ago. He has thrived since changing stables and being stepped up in trip, and as he does not receive a penalty, is the one to beat under Seb Sanders. The consistent Golden Spectrum was only beaten narrowly by the in-form Bucharest on his last visit here, and will be threading his through from the back to get involved, while Forced Upon Us is lightly raced, and will have the eyes of the stewards on him again after his tenderly handled ride under Jamie Spencer at Lingfield last time. High Class Problem has won once from 19 starts, but has been difficult to place, and Winds of Kildare is getting there but is too inexperienced yet. Le Chiffre has obvious claims and is a confident selection.
