In depth

Verdict

Norman The Great can finally get his head in front, with Atayeb, Thinking Positive and Mardi seen as the main dangers. Norman The Great has been placed on four of his nine starts to date, and judged by the way that he kept on when just failing at Windsor last time, will benefit from this extra furlong. Nicely drawn in stall 11, he can creep up the far rail to open his account. Atayeb takes a more dramatic step up in trip, having failed over seven-furlongs at Yarmouth a fortnight ago. She does not appear too badly treated for her handicap bow and can go well. Thinking Positive has plenty of stamina in her make-up as she too goes the handicap route, and Mardi has run on a Polytrack surface before, so at least has that in his favour. Overall, we like the look of Norman The Great.
