        Verdict

        SMOKEY BEAR improves with every start and won at Newbury last month with a subsequent winner back in third and the re-opposing Harlequin further behind. An apprentice’s allowance negates 5lb of today’s penalty and he can go in again. Great Image found one too good at Catterick last time and Roman Melody was placed at Newbury but Badri may improve past both expected to come on from last month’s debut at Newmarket. Tidal Racer is related to three winners and a newcomer to note.
