In depth

Verdict

Silca Destination is a tentative choice; Ogre, Vigano and Artistic Light are not far behind in the drawing up the shortlist. Artistic Light is going the right way and looks worth a try over a mile. She should have no problems with getting the trip but needs to prove that she can handle the track on her Kempton debut. Vigano posted a better effort last time out and should not be dismissed too quickly. Admittedly, his form figures are not the best, but it is worth bearing in mind that he has faced sterner tests than this and has to be respected from top weight. Ogre has also started to blossom of late and was an unlucky loser at Wolverhampton last time out. Tom Quealy will obviously try and ensure a clearer run to the line on this occasion and the daughter of Tale Of The Cat looks a worthy alternative to the selection. However, Silca Destination has that typical battle-harden profile for a Mick Channon-trained runner. And, as she appeared to be ideally suited by the step up to a mile last time out, Silca Destination is fancied to be hard to beat on these terms.
