In depth
Verdict
Ginger Pop is narrowly preferred to Strut The Stage and Tilsworth Charlie in a very tricky little contest to fathom. In fact, a case could be made for all bar Auction Oasis on these terms, so a minimum stakes play is advised. Tilsworth Charlie is a consistent filly that deserves a change of fortune. However, she has a bad habit of downing tools and needs everything to go right for her. Strut The Stage has bits and pieces of form that entitle him to consideration. He seemed to like this track on his only previous visit and it would come as no surprise to see him give the selection the most problems. However, Ginger Pop comes here on the back of an improved effort last time out and, as the drop back to six furlongs is not expected to be a problem, the mount of John Egan is fancied to be the strongest in the finish today.
