In depth

Verdict

HAWKESBURY drops back down in distance for his return to action but is clear of the opposition on handicap ratings. He finished a creditable second in a conditions race at Newmarket in October. Field Game won at Catterick in the same month and scored over 5f here earlier but Medon Castle hasn't raced since finishing down the field in the Windsor Castle at Ascot back in June. Culloden could have been found a much easier task for his debut but the half-brother to prolific all-weather winner Medam is worth noting in the betting.
