    Verdict

Fransham slips further down the weights but is still 2lb higher than when last successful over hurdles and was only sixth when running in this race in 2020. Minella Plus may be having a confidence-booster while Head Law is having a first run since April last year, though will handle the ground. Sam Twiston-Davies had plenty up his sleeve when steering DEERE MARK (NAP) to success in a novice event at Hereford before Christmas and the handicapper has probably let the six-year-old in lightly here. Kaleb also has plenty of scope but is conceding 6lb to the selection.
