In depth

Verdict

Tamora looks the one to beat, with Gaudalpin, Margaret's Dream and Dexilios seen as the ones to give her most to do. Tamora was given a peach of a ride by Jamie Spencer here last week, as she was brought through from just off the pace to win a shade cosily. The visor was back on and that may have contributed to her improvement, but even so the Alan Jarvis-trained filly looks a cut above Banded class and should have no trouble following up despite giving her rivals 6lb here. She had Gaudalpin back in third last time and definitely has that one's measure, while the ex-Irish Margaret's Dream has shaped well on a couple of occasions at Wolverhampton. Dexileos was a beaten favourite at Wolverhampton when asked to chase the pace, and more restrained tactics could see him involved in the finish as well, but the form choice just has to be Tamora.
