Verdict

HORIZONTAL SPEED won a bumper at Uttoxeter in December and would have gone close under a penalty at Taunton last month had he not stumbled and slipped up when challenging the winner. Providing he's none the worse for that experience, Philip Hobbs' charge can make a winning debut over hurdles. Honour System must be interesting if taking to hurdles as he won on Turf at Meydan last winter while Lordofhouse has been running well since winning at Wetherby in November. Southwell scorer Mixologist may be open to further improvement and Ourmanmassini and Reyes Magos have shown some ability and shouldn't be ignored.
