In depth
Verdict
A few of these met recently at Sandown and, as that is probably the most reliable form on offer to date, Mio Caro is fancied to uphold the form with Shamdiam and ex-Flat performer Tusk, who ran much better than expected on his first start for Henrietta Knight after pulling hard in the early stages. Major Speculation is surely better than he showed at Cheltenham last month and is another to consider if the Martin Pipe team are confident that they have got to the bottom of his poor effort at Prestbury Park - the betting will give the best indication in this area. However, on the limited form available, a chance is taken that Mio Caro can build on what was promising debut run at Sandown. Noel Chance picked up a nice prize with this one on the Flat in France and, as he has already proved his ability to jump when their is cut in the ground, Mio Caro is selected as the one they will need to get past today.
