In depth

Verdict

MISS CLAIRTON looks the one to be on here in the opener. Sir Mark Prescott's filly absolutely bolted up in a similar contest at Wolverhampton last week and is kept to the same trip of 7f. Admittedly that was not a hot contest, but a 6lb penalty should prove no barrier to further success. Byrony put up an excellent effort to beat a previous winner at Newmarket last time out, adding strength to that form. She looks a threat from 4lbs higher, while Newcastle winner Chin 'n Tonic is going the right way and is interesting from a mark of 80. Miss Clairton is a confident choice.
