In depth

Verdict

Mind Alert's double penalty is certain to make his life more difficult but he looks to have been found a decent opportunity to complete his hat-trick. Regal Royale played second fiddle to him last time and may do so again whilst Tilsworth Charlie has solid claims of reaching the frame again but she struggles to win. Mind Alert had gone almost two years without winning but bounced back to form with a convincing success at Southwell before making light of his penalty over course and distance. Regal Royale was only a length and a quarter adrift that day so has obvious claims on the revised terms but the selection was value for a good bit more than the winning margin and can confirm his superiority. Tilsworth Charlie has run some sound races here in the past but is nought from eleven on the all-weather and isn't a compelling proposition. Take Mind Alert to complete his hat-trick.
