        Verdict

        GURU won by only a nose at Newbury on his debut but the rest were nowhere and John Gosden’s Kingman colt is taken to defy a penalty with normal progress. He beat a Sir Michael Stoute-trained runner at Newbury and the latter runs both 260,000gns purchase Aerion Power and fellow newcomer Qaasid while Zion Star and Muay Thai represent the Hannon yard. Wurlitzer is another newcomer to note and Round Six looks a likely improver.
