In depth

Verdict

CLOCKMAKER has caught the eye on both of his two starts to date and is given the vote to break his maiden tag at the expense of Brannagh and Aultcharn. The selection finished second on his only start as a three year old last season and although he was a beaten favourite on his return at Yarmouth last time out he still ran well to finish second behind the promising Admission. This looks like his easiest task to date and if anywhere near his best he ought to take all the beating. Brannagh has done little wrong in his two career starts and makes his return to the track this afternoon. He was not beaten far in both his runs and another bold bid can be expected. Aultcharn only showed a modest amount of ability in his two runs to date, but he comes from a yard hot in form at present so any market support should be noted. Clockmaker is the form horse in the race and will prove difficult to beat id on song.
