        Verdict

        The nicely bred Danclare could be good enough to make a winning debut in what looks a fairly average maiden, although the more experienced Moonlight Man has shown promise on both starts so far and is likely to prove the main danger. Richard Hannon's colt was a running-on third over six furlongs at Ascot on his debut, but was then only fourth over the same trip at Salisbury. Whilst he has shown enough ability to suggest that he is more than capable of picking up a race, he seems to be crying out for an extra furlong and will qualify for handicaps after this run. Of those with experience, the rest have shown little form so far and it may just be worth taking a chance on one of the newcomers, namely John Gosden's Danclare. This beautifully bred daughter of Stravinsky holds an entry in the Cheveley Park Stakes, and if she is to live up to that justification then she should be capable of making a winning debut here in what appears to be a relatively ordinary maiden.
