Verdict
Corridor Creeper has been knocking on the door for most of the season, and this could be the time when he finally gets his head in front; Jayanjay and Texas Gold appear to be the main dangers. The latter won twice in June but appears to be in the handicapper's grip at the moment and may just find one or two too good here. Jayanjay is possibly best over six furlongs these days, but has been running well of late and should not be too far away here. But we'll give one more chance to Milton Bradley's Corridor Creeper. Although he hasn't won since last September, he has finished runner-up four times this year, mainly in better company than this, and was by no means disgraced when fifth to stable companion Whistler in a valuable Haydock handicap last time. This represents something of a drop in class and he is taken to score a deserved first success of 2003.
