In depth
Verdict
Feather Boa is a course winner here, looks to be on a fair mark and is fancied as the value bet in what looks to be a trappy handicap; Golden Heart and Princess Speedfit should provide the sternest opposition. Top weight Golden Heart won her maiden in good style at Salisbury and although she failed to live up to that form in handicap company on her only subsequent start, this is probably an easier race and she is almost certainly better than that bare form suggests. Princess Speedfit has a six pound penalty for winning a classified stakes at Windsor last time, but she overcame some trouble in running that day and it may not be enough to stop her. However, we believe that better value could lie with Feather Boa, who won here as a juvenile, and hinted that her time could be near when fifth under a relatively tender ride at Windsor last time. Only two pounds higher than when second to the progressive Unicorn Reward at Leicester last month, Feather Boa should appreciate this trip and looks a good each way bet.
