Verdict

Rippling River showed plenty of promise on his Folkestone debut 10 days ago and has to be respected but he may not represent much in the way of value and preference is for Hucking Hill with Down The Brick rated the best of the remainder. The selection has been expensive to follow having been made favourite in all three of his starts so far but John Best's colt has lost no caste in defeat on any of those occasions and is given another chance to gain a deserved first success. Diminuto has similarly had three starts and has claims on the pick of her form but Mark Usher's filly may have to settle for a minor role. Emefdream gave little sign for encouragement on his debut and may be best watched, while Down The Brick has a decent pedigree and comes from a yard that did well with their youngsters last term so he should be noted in the market. Hucking Hill has not done much wrong though and he gets the vote to open his account.
