In depth

Verdict

The Fallon factor can help Spring Goddess end her run of near misses, while Desert Dreamer, Chief Exec and Te Quiero are others to bear in mind. Te Quiero is a consistent type that will be suited by getting out and setting the tempo. He has proved to be best suited by the Wolverhampton surface on the all weather, so will not mind coming round a turn. However, he has been struggling with the handicapper this year and it will take a good effort from him to hold off all comers in this company. Chief Exec has gone well for Martin Dwyer in the past and is effective at this level. Seven furlongs suits and he should run a solid race once more. Desert Dreamer went close over course and distance at the start of this month and is rated as a big threat on that form. Watch the betting where he is concerned. However, there is also likely to be a fair price on offer about Spring Goddess, in spite of the fact that 'King Kieren' is staying around to ride her in the lucky last. However, it may be as simple as the daughter of Daggers Drawn just needing her mind making up for her near the finish and, with all respect where it is due, she has the best man on board for the job on this occasion.
