Verdict
Concer Eto landed a nice gamble for Stuart Williams earlier in the year and he should go well again in a tricky contest. He had a welter burden of 10st 2lb at Brighton when a beaten favourite but now that he has a fair racing weight and Frankie Dettori in the saddle - he looks to hold a solid formbook chance. Tiger Tops is arguably a much better performer on the polytrack but he showed up well at Epsom last time out and it wouldn't be the biggest surprise if he were good enough to take a hand in proceedings here. A comment that equally applies to the apprentice-ridden My Behind. Bond Diamond was favourite for a Thirsk handicap and while he was a slightly disappointing favourite on the day - he was doing his best work at the end of the race and there could be more to come off this handicap mark. Dance On The Top could be of interest if there is support in the ring for him. He left Ed Dunlop's yard in the middle of the present term and shaped up nicely for his new connections despite the handicap of a long absence from the racecourse. Off his current BHB rating, the handicapper has at least given him a chance these days. The connections of Rebate and Zafarshah will not be wanting any further rain to fall before the contest. Concer Eto is in form though and with Dettori aboard, we will nominate the gelding as our selection in a trappy handicap.
