Verdict
Perle d'Or looks the one to beat in this opener with Imperial Royale, Trullitti and Circassion the others worthy of consideration. The selection ran well on her debut behind Blue Tomato at York over six furlongs in July and and is sure to come on for that run. The extra furlong should not be a problem and the William Haggas charge is the one to beat. Imperial Royale is now qualified to run in handicaps so is interesting in this contest after an encouraging run over a mile at Epsom earlier in the month. With the useful claimer Sam Hitchcott in the plate Imperial Royale could go well. Trullitti made an eyecatching debut at Salisbury behind Silk Fan three weeks ago staying on strongly at the finish and is entitled to plenty of respect here. Sir Mark Prescott's Circassion has not shown too much in two starts so far but can't be discounted and could be open to improvement while market support for any of the newcomers should be noted. But Perle d' Or did enough on her debut at York to be the one to beat here, and with Darryll Holland on board she will take a good deal of beating.
