Verdict
Princess Shoka is the selection here, with Beauchamp Ribbon and the progressive Ellovamul the others for the shortlist. Princess Shoka ran well enough to finish behind Capulette at Kempton earlier in the month, having previously beaten Beauchamp Ribbon at Haydock. Beauchamp Ribbon is not weighted to reverse the placings but could be good enough to finish in the places. Ellovamul is in great form at present and will again run her race, but whether she is good enough to complete the hat-trick of wins is open to debate. But she is from a shrewd yard, is dropped in trip, and is certainly worthy of serious consideration. Not too many of these hold any great appeal in what looks a moderate race, so we are happy to take a chance on the relatively consistent Princess Shoka.
