Verdict
Cherri Fosfate can open his account at the expense of Flamestone, with Callisto Moon and Aggressive a couple more that can make their presence felt. This should not take too much winning, with non of the big southern yards involved, and so the path looks clear for Cherri Fosfate to build on what was a promising debut at Beverley 10 days ago. Bill Turner's gelding ran on strongly from a poor draw to chase home an animal from the in-form Kevin Ryan yard, and as the well regarded Argentine was back in fourth, the form should pay to follow. Flamestone finished well behind the latter, also at Beverley in April and so looks well held by the selection, despite having improved to finish third at Folkestone subsequently. Callisto Moon belied his 50-1 starting price when fourth of seven at Newbury but it was not a strong contest by any stretch of the imagination, while Aggressive at least knows what to expect, having finished fifth of 10 on his debut here a fortnight ago, but Cherri Fosfate sets the standard and should take all the beating from stall 11.
