In depth
Verdict
Richard Guest's Bill's Echo made a winning return at Bangor earlier this month and is fancied to defy a 7lb rise in the weights and get the better of Great Travel and Toi Express. The last mentioned is closely matched with Hors La Loi on recent form and there should not be a great deal to choose between the pair again. Top weight Duke of Buckingham is capable but faces no easy task under the burden of 11st 12lb, while Henry Daly's Bonus Bridge is probably best watched on his seasonal reappearance. Nicky Henderson's runners here always warrant plenty of respect so both Tysou and Regal Exit have to be feared although a bigger threat may come from Great Travel. The Paul Nicholls-trained gelding is less exposed than many of his rivals at the age of five and if he has improved during the summer, the French bred gelding would be of interest. Bill's Echo has an obvious chance receiving weight all round though and he gets the vote.
