In depth
Verdict
Mpenzi might provide the answer here in a far-from-straightforward race to work out, with Bulwark, Groomsman plus a number of newcomers being others to consider. The selection did not look a straightforward ride before his Newmarket debut behind Rob Roy but, in the race, knuckled down to things late on. Unless there is what appears to be a significant market move on any of the others, he looks set to play a part today. Bulwark looked to be improving last time and might well appreciate today's easier going. Groomsman showed plenty of promise last time in a decent maiden, while Spear Time is gradually improving. Cross Time, Bayard and Intrepid Jack could well be ones to watch out for in the betting but, all things considered, we will stick with Mpenzi.
