In depth

Verdict

Super Frank has to be on the short-list once again, as does the penalised Count Ceprano and Sailor King but we'll give another chance to Apache Dawn. The selection was a warm order at Lingfield last time following his close up second to Atlantic Story over a mile here in December but failed to get into the race after a slow start. He should have sufficient speed to cope with this shorter trip and is worth the chance to confirm the promise of his penultimate start. Sailor King was stepped up in grade following his defeat of Super Frank in January and struggled to make an impact; better can be expected in this company despite the rise in the weights. Super Frank doesn't have a bad strike rate despite his recent run of near misses and is respected but Count Ceprano could struggle in this better contest. An open heat but we'll side with Apache Dawn.
