In depth

Verdict

Plenty with claims including Split Down South, who went close over today’s trip in between recording a couple of wins over 6f at Chelmsford. Champion Brogie narrowly won over track and trip last month but VIOLET’S LADS had a subsequent dual winner back in third when winning more convincingly here on her latest start and Brett Johnson’s mare is preferred. Royal Dynasty was beaten in a handicap before finishing second in novice company and Penarth Pier is now 7lb higher than when scoring over course and distance earlier.
