Verdict

After landing a bumper here last April, Kolumbus has been a major disappointment over hurdles and been a beaten favourite in his last four starts. His two latest runs have been poor and he needs to get back to the form that saw him finish a close second to Bacardys at Leopardstown in December. TREASURE CHEST had four runs for Aidan O'Brien last summer and showed plenty of ability without winning. Now with Joseph, he can make a successful start to his new career. Jacobs Well ran well on his last two starts on the level and showed the benefit of his opening run over timber to chase home Coolmeen Hill at Ballinrobe. He should have more to offer and can go well while Denham Sound has looked on the upgrade recently and can snatch a place.
